The Judges Performance: 27th Annual Canadian Grand Masters Fiddling Competition (CGMFC)

The Judges show their stuff

The CGMFC was held in Morinville Alberta on August 27th, 2016. This was the 1st time for this National Event to be held in Alberta. It was a huge success with sold out crowds for 3 days. Friday August 26 saw the 'Alberta Fiddle Legends' show & dance. Saturday August 27 was the fiddle contest and Sunday August 28 was Pancakes & Jam.

For the contest, the preliminaries started at noon with an opening ceremony and then 33 invited fiddlers competed in hopes of making the final. The top 11 were chosen to compete in the finals at 7 pm that evening.

We are posting the 11 finalists here in this playlist. As you watch the each video, you will not see their ranking. You judge as well and you chhose 1-11 rankings. The last video will be the trophy presentations so you will see how close you are to the judges decisions.
