VSDC Tutorial : Move Text Along a Path
VSDC Video Editor Tutorial - How to move text along a path in VSDC Video Editor.
Hey guys, welcome back to NextGenBlogger and in this video I want to show you how you can move text along a path in VSDC Video Editor Pro version. Now it's actually super easy to move text along a path in VSDC. So without further delay, let's get started and see how you can do this. Now to demonstrate this, first I would like to write some text on top of the screen. So to do that,
go to 'Add object', go to 'Text', click on 'Text' and now click on 'OK'. Now create your text object on top of the screen like this. And let me write some text inside the text box. So let me just write, let's say 'TEXT'. And let me change the font of my text from 'Arial' to 'Montserrat Black'. Let me also increase the text size to somewhere around 110 pixels.
And let me also center align my text, by first clicking on 'Center' and then clicking on 'Center align'. Now what you need to do next is you need to add movement to your text. So to do that, double click on your text object. Next, click on 'Add movement' and now click on 'OK'. Now move your text from this position to this particular position right here.
And once again click on 'Add movement'. And then click on 'OK' and move the text from this position to this position. And once again click on 'Add movement' and now click on 'OK' and move the text from this position to this position. And finally click on 'Add movement' once again and then click on 'OK' and move the text from this position to this particular position right here.
And so now if I just quickly play the video for you. As you can see on screen my text is moving along the path which I have just created. Perfect. Now what you need to do next is, you need to change the control points from straight lines into curved lines. So right now there are three control points on screen.
This is the first control point, this is the second control point and this is the third control point. And you need to change the control points from straight lines into curved lines. So as you can see, these right here are straight lines. So I want to change them into curved lines. So to do that click on the first control point. Press control on the keyboard and then drag the control point below like this.
And this will change the straight line into curved line. Similarly click on the second control point. Press control on the keyboard and drag this control point below like this. And this will change the straight line into curved line. And finally click on the third control point. Press control on the keyboard and drag the control point below like this.
Perfect. And as you can see I have successfully changed the straight lines into curved lines. And so now if I just quickly play the video for you. This time the movement of my text will be a lot more smoother than how it was previously. Perfect. Now one final thing which you need to do is you need to click on the movement layer which is present right here. And now look inside the 'Movement effect settings' which is present inside the 'Properties window'.
And right here you're going to find this option called 'Rotate object' where currently 'False' is selected. So simply change this from 'False' to 'True'. And that's it. And so now if I just quickly play the video for you. As you can see on screen my text is moving along the path which I have created. And not only is it moving, it is also rotating
when the path changes direction. Perfect. So this is how you can move text along a path in VSDC Video Editor Pro version. Do let me know your thoughts in the comment section below.
