Ranching Perspectives

Ranching requires a mixture of financial sense, marketing savvy, sheer physical strength and a touch of animal psychology. Ranching Perspectives spends time with ten North Dakota families who understand this way of life, the life of the original rural business. But the complex issues ranchers face today are different than those their parents encountered. Ranchers manage the complex opportunities and challenges of runing a business with the added burden of the daily care and feeding of hundreds of large animals. They are grounded in traditions, yet must constantly modify their operations to meet the needs of a modern world.
