Camping at East Harbor State Park Ferry to Put in Bay

We spent a long weekend at East Harbor State Park near Sandusky, Ohio. After arriving Thursday evening we took the Miller Ferry to Put-in-Bay on South Bass Island in Lake Erie.

The best way to get around the island is by golf cart so we rented one for the day. We hit the Boardwalk for lunch, Crystal Cave, a chocolate factory and checked out Perry's Monument.

If you make the trip with adults only, you might want to spend the night on the island and enjoy all the bars and nightlife.

The rest of the weekend was spent relaxing at the campground.

If you visit East Harbor and have the time I highly suggest taking the ferry to Put-in-Bay. You could also take the short drive over to Cedar Point one of the best amusement parks in the country for roller coasters.
