2017 Pasture Raised PORK CHOP Taste Test - Mangalitsa, Tamworth, Red Wattle, Old Spot / Berkshire

PORK CHOP TASTE TEST!! We had such a great year with the pigs. There were ups and downs but overall a great year. Let's taste some pork chops. These came from our Mangalitsa, Tamworth, Red Wattle, and Old Spots/ Berk.

We are doing a pig experiment this year! Raising 10 pigs / 4 breeds to help determine what breed we would like to start raising on our own next year.

Here is a little update on our progress with the pigs this year. We are raising Old Spots / Berk mix, Mangalitsa, Tamworth, and Red Wattles.

We are happy with the all of them so far including everything from demeanor to weight gain. This will be a hard decision at the end of the year when we have our "pork chop swap".
