Biking the Silver Comet Trail

Join me and bike the Silver Comet Trail, a 61.5-mile rail trail located in western Georgia. Starting west of Atlanta and traveling to the Alabama/Georgia border, the Silver Comet Trail offers smooth biking and stunning scenery.

The Silver Comet Trail is named for a passenger train route that ran from Alabama to New York City from the 1940-1960s. Once the rail line was abandoned in the 1980s, it was purchased and construction began on the bike trail in the 1990s. Today the Silver Comet Trail is widely known and a member of the Rail Trail Hall of Fame.
