Norway 2020: To the Atlantic Road and back on the Honda Crosstourer

Holiday trip to Norway between the 31th of July and 9th of August on the Honda VFR1200X Crosstourer. Traveling from Larvik to The Atlantic Road (Atlanterhavsvegen Fylkesvei 64) and back. A lot of bad weather and some off-roading gone bad made us turn home a few days earlier than anticipated, but the trip itself was wonderful and highly recomended for motorcyclists who enjoy touring and camping in the wild.

Visiting and riding past the Jotunheimen,- Reinheimen,- Jostedalsbreen and Hardangervidda National Parks, the Trollstigen and Geiranger Pass and all the other national parks and mountain passes in between that I forgot to mention.

Highly recomended roads to ride:
- Fv51 Beitostølen to Randsverk.
- E136 Dombås to Åndalsnes.
- Fv64 Vevang to Kårvåg (Atlantic Road or Atlanterhavsveien).
- Fv63 Åndalsnes to Valldal southward (climbing the Trollstigen, instead of decending).
- Fv63 continue going south over the Geiranger Pass and ride the connecting Road 15 eastward to the Grotli Høyfjellshotell. From there go either south or continue eastward depending on where you want to end up.
- Choosing eastward, ride the Road 15 to Fossebergom and go south towards Skjolden over the Fv55.
- Make sure you visit the Vallavik Tunnel with connecting Hardanger Bridge and ride the Lærdal Tunnel, which is 24,5 kilometres long making it the longest tunnel in the world. Make sure you continue over the E16 and stop at the end of the tunnel at the Viking Valley in Gudvangen.

Ride safe!
