Augsburg is the third-largest city in the state of Bavaria in Germany. This beautiful and historic city which boasts some stunning examples of renaissance architecture, was founded in 15 BC by the Roman Emperor Augustus, making it one of Germany’s oldest cities. The old town centre is charming and the many canals and bridges throughout add to Augsburg’s appeal.
