Instagram Model to Runway Model | How I Started Modeling Pt. 2

Instagram modeling was the tool that pushed me to pursue print, designer fashion, and runway. Though I love creating content, I felt this immense pressure to present myself in a certain way, which is a side to me that you will forever be able to access and see, but I have a choice if I wanted sexy Instagram modeling to be my main image. If this is you, that being your main image doesn't hurt like it did for me. I had to throw out false inspiration and find the inspiration that spoke personally to my soul and what is moving in me to create. I am a model and I answer to who is contracting me or helping me, but I have a voice and a right to chose to model what makes me comfortable while getting uncomfortable in the art form itself, and challenge my skills in several ways, photoshoots, fashion, jobs, dance, acting, etc. You have a voice and a choice too, what you decide will never impact me. This journey is not about money, taking care of family, and being better than anyone...though I desire 2 out of 3, if you watch my journey, then you'll see how God is unveiling and transforming my heart and soul.

Instagram modeling was a fun stage of my life, but naturally I gravitated to the path that was best for me. I can still make content and be every shade of color that I truly am, should I chose to share. However, to truly reach in my soul to step into the next chapter of me meant losing people who thought I was a joke, lame, too different, too serious, unfocused, basically anyone who did not like nor value me truly. If I couldn't do for whomever wanted control at the time solely without reciprocation, I couldn't be known, heard, or seen. Well okay. And okay. Resources come and go, including personal relationships, family, etc. and you learn from the beauty of temporary souls.

I appreciate and desire to always give back to whom helped me, reciprocated, valued the difference in me, and see beauty in transformation and change. Anything that took away from me and my time, distracting me from who I was called to be and the path I am meant to be on, it had to go. This journey is bringing me closer to God, and for that I am grateful.

Yes I'm published and with Vogue online, my goals in modeling is limitless. I started modeling around 22-23 with Instagram modeling once I started my weight loss journey.
