How to Stretch Your Own Large Gallery Wrap Canvas

http://www.edhart.me/2014/12/how-to-make-your-own-canvas/ In this video, I'll give a quick tutorial on how I stretch and make a large gallery wrap canvas for painting. If you'd like to see a separate video on how to construct the frame, see my Stretcher Bar Canvas Frame video at https://youtu.be/XNzStJ3R6_U.

By "gallery wrap" I mean a canvas that wraps around the frame and is stapled to the back of the stretcher bars so the staples aren't visible when the canvas is hanging on the wall without a frame.

Pay special attention to the corners. I'll show you how to get a nice, clean 90 degree wrap at the top and bottom edges of the corners so that there's not a diagonal fold or crease visible from the sides of the frame when it's hanging on the wall.

This video just shows putting an unprimed canvas on the frame. I will show how I build my frames and how I prime my canvases in separate videos.

Also, I apologize that my camera focus is messed up in a couple places. The auto focus didn't want to cooperate with me. Thanks for watching!
