パンデミックの状況下、
未知なるウイルスは、世界中の人を「死」に直面させ不安を煽る。目を背けてきた死に対して、輪廻という言葉では知りつつも、死への恐怖は尽きない。

その不安をとりのぞく行為は、天平時代では大仏建立。
令和の今、先の見えない時代で人々の不安を癒すものは何か。

紫舟の答えは、「死を観る」「人は何のために死ぬのかを知る」こと。知ることで、囚われていた人間の抱える最も大きな恐怖「死」は、激変する。
本作は、カラスの地獄絵図を通して、「死の目的」と対峙する。

秘仏（7mの蔵王大権現様）のご開帳時期に合わせて行います。

Hello everyone. How are you doing?　I am Sisyu, a Japanese calligraphy artist.

Q：What kind of hell would people who steal fall into? (If you borrow something from people without their permission, that will also count as stealing)
盗みをした人が行くのはどんな地獄？

In this hell, you would have to carry a lump of burning iron above a boiling iron cauldron. If you drop into the cauldron and die, your body is restored immediately and you would start from the beginning.
The term of double violation of killing and stealing is 10 trillion years.
煮えたぎる鉄釜の上を、高熱の鉄塊を背負って歩かされる。思わず熱湯に落ちて焼け死んでしまう。すると、また体が再生され、また同じような苦しみが続く。「殺生」と「盗る」罪を重ねた刑期は十兆年！

日本では、天皇皇后両陛下（現、上皇上皇后両陛下）が『紫舟』展に行幸啓され、紫舟は拝謁の栄を賜り、 自ら作品をご案内。


世界では、フランス・ルーヴル美術館地下会場でのフランス国民美術協会展にて、書 画で「金賞」、 彫刻で最高位「審査員賞金賞」を日本人初のダブル受賞（2014）。
翌年同展にて「主賓招待アーティスト」に選出され大規模展を開催（2015）。 日本人では横山大観以来の快挙となる。

イタリア・ミラノ国際博覧会にて日本館のエントランス展示を手掛け、展示デザイン部門で「金賞」を受賞（2015）。
イタリア・ジェノバでは副首相が紫舟展にご
来場され、紫舟自らご案内（2017）。


日本の伝統文化である「書」を、絵、彫刻、 メディアアートへと昇華させ、文字に内包される感情や理を引き出す。その作品は唯一無二の現代アートであり、日本の思想や文化を世界に発信している。

Sisyu, a Japanese calligraphic artist officially recognized by the Japanese government and had a great privilege of showing her art works to the Emperor and the Empress in person.
In her latest endeavor, she was invited to Paris, France by Societe Nationale des Beaux-Arts (founded 155 years ago by Rodin) in year 2014 and 2015 as a VIP guest. There, she adorned the entrance area of the art exhibition (Art Salon) at the basement hall “Carrousel du Louvre” with 250 m² of floor space.
Known for incorporating Japanese calligraphy into other art forms such as sculptures, media arts, and paintings, her latest artwork adds calligraphy etched in iron and glasses to the collection. This has evolved into a grander scale that combines sculptures, lights, and shadows. Through this work, Sisyu symbolizes the Japanese soul of “Zen” and sends the traditional work of calligraphy “Sho” into the new age with new perspectives.
