NDI PTZ Camera/Streaming Setup

Hi Friends. In addition to music making, I do tech integration full-time at St. Philip in Tennessee. We're all learning a lot with C19, so in the spirit of community and being of service, I'm doing some posts on live-streaming tech at the church where I work. I'm beginning with where we are now. In later posts I'll share where we started. Disclaimer, we are super spoiled in Franklin, TN. It's the heart of Christian and Country music so we have a lot of resources. Like most parishes in March of 2020, though, we started with nothing. We didn't venture into livestreaming because we were concerned folks would stop attending Mass. C19 pushed us tech forward. Now we have a fairly robust systerm that is still in development. I'm gonna showcase that and then get into how we started in future posts.

I forgot to show our audio interface. You can see it (a red Focusrite 2i2) to the right of our streaming laptop. I'll get to that next in more detail. Sound is more important than video quality when comes to keeping viewers, so it deserves an expo of its own.
