The Wolf and the Bear - an encounter in Yellowstone National Park

A bison carcass in the Lamar river not far from the Specimen Ridge trail. The bison was killed by members of the Junction Butte pack, one of the largest packs in the park since the famous Druid pack of the early 2000s. In late 2020, the Junction Butte pack had 15 adults and 18 pups, and has learned how to take down bison.

But whenever there is a carcass, the grizzlies find will find it...
