Seattle-Tacoma airport unveils new security checkpoint to ease summer travel

Travelers passing through Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) this summer will find a new security checkpoint designed to streamline their journey.

Checkpoint 1, located on the Baggage Claim level at the far south end of the terminal in the Gina Marie Lindsey International Arrivals Hall, opens Friday, June 6, 2025.

The new checkpoint features five general screening lanes, aimed at reducing wait times and improving efficiency.
