Blind Corner Cabinet Solution

A great alternative for a lazy Susan corner cabinet consisting of a set of drawers under the counter-top in the “blind corner” and a method of accessing them. It also provides share-able space under the adjacent counter where wheeled items can be stored. The video shows a step stool being rolled out to access the drawers. Alternatives such as a Roomba dock would allow the stack to stay in the shared space except when the dock is being accessed.

The stack of drawers is suspended beneath the counter-top in the corner space. To access the drawers the door of the adjacent space is opened and the stack is rolled sideways into vacant space temporarily made available there. With the stack in this position the drawers can be operated as ordinary cabinet drawers. When the drawers are closed, the stack is rolled back into the corner and the access space can be re-occupied by whatever was temporarily moved out. The door to this space matches the front of the adjacent base cabinets with toe-kick clearance that allows a Roomba to operate when the door is closed.

It is simple and comparatively low-cost because the hardware is commercially available and only ordinary D-It-Yourself carpentry is required.
