Opening the month of October, Astral Records unveils Part II of their 'Momentum' series. Following on from their highly stylized brand of melodic house and techno, the label continues to push the boundaries of this burgeoning genre, while never losing sight of the cosmic qualities that has made the sound so appealing to many. With an emphasis on melody and emotion, Astral Records debuted their 'Momentum' series in April of last year with standout cuts from ReCorpo, Ben Deeper and Joshlane, MID LØW, Pirmin Kenk and Patrick Krause. Now, looking to build on the success of Momentum's inaugural offering, Astral Records presents Part II with exclusive new music from (in order of appearance) Paul Anthonee, Laherte, Taef, Freemann (IT), Alessio Pennati & Vincenzo Sarti and Jörj. Selection one finds label A&R Paul Anthonee presenting his latest studio creation 'Maze'. In addition to being a core part of the label, Paul has achieved global recognition for his far-reaching sound. Tale Of Us, Maceo Plex, Carl Cox, Innellea, Fideles, Kevin De Vries and more have praised his work, while Running Clouds, Steyoyoke, Suara, Parquet and UV Noir have been landing spots for his sought-after tracks. Now, returning to his comfortable home of Astral, Paul diversifies his portfolio in collaboration with vocalist Linn Stern and the broken-beats of 'Maze'. The collection's second piece welcomes Laherte to the label with 'Lost'. Hailing from Italy, Laherte first emerged in 2019 on the strength of releases via Frequenza, Running Clouds and Three Hands Records. Noted for his attention to detail and a sound that often sits in a genreless space, the Milan resident has enjoyed a breakout year in 2023, with chart topping releases for Maceo Plex's Ellum, Sasha Carassi's ILINX and Solomun's Diynamic. Continuing to ride an upwards wave of momentum as the year reaches its final quarter, Laherte now debuts on Astral Records with the metallic melodies of 'Lost'. Moving forward to selection three it's TAEF who makes his label debut with 'Introspection'. Hailing from Egypt, TAEF has been creating a buzz in the electronic music scene in recent years. After headlining multiple events for Solarized Barcelona and Pacha Barcelona, the Cairo resident has also made an impression in his home country, with performances in the Egyptian North Coast, headlining several events between The Garten and Johnny's Beach Club as well as being a support act for Uberhaus at The Garten alongside Afterlife's Marino Canal. Although he has just one release via TRIP and dream in 2022 to his credit, TAEF has developed a reputation for his modern take on the melodic house and techno sound, complete with powerful grooves and rich atmospheric storyboards. Embarking on the biggest project of his career, TAEF now joins the Astral Records roster with the ethereal sounds of 'Introspection'. Making his return to the label with 'Manna' is Freemann (IT). Born and raised in Greece but now calling Italy home, Theodoros Katsigiannis aka Freemann (IT) has a short but tidy discography. Beatfreak, Dopamine, ONISM and Three Hands Records have played host to his melodic techno sound, while world class DJs Solomun, Fideles, Kevin De Vries and more have chimed in with support along the way. Having made his Astral Records debut last year with a contribution to the label's 'Celestial, Pt. 2' collection, Freemann (IT) now makes a welcome return with the cosmic qualities of 'Manna'. Also making their label return are Alessio Pennati & Vincenzo Sarti with 'Euphoria'. Based in Italy, Vincenzo and Alessio have enjoyed success in their respective solo careers. The duo's combined discography is highlighted by releases via Awen Records, Three Hands Records and Sequence Music. With a penchant for contemporary techno and astral sonics, Vincenzo and Alessio made their Astral Records debut with 'People From Another World'. Released in 2022, the three-track showcase marked the duo's first ever collaborative project and received praise from a broad range of melodic DJs. Now, making a welcome return to the label Alessio Pennati & Vincenzo Sarti unveil their latest studio creation 'Euphoria'. The release concludes with Jörj who makes his label debut with 'Labyrinth'. Hailing from Lebanon, Georges Makhlouf aka Jörj is a rising talent in the world of melodic house and techno. 2022 saw Jörj emerge with his first release via Androgyne Audio's 'New Era' collection, a release showcasing new talent within the genre's trendsetting confines, before a three-track showcase courtesy of Outer Space Oasis earlier this year marked his first ever artist EP. Now, putting a resounding stamp on the collection, Jörj makes his Astral Records debut with the trippy breakbeat journey that is 'Labyrinth'.
