COOK ISLANDS: THE BEAUTIFUL ISLAND OF MAUKE (travel from Rarotonga).

Have you heard about Mauke?! This beautiful and luscious green island is most often referred to as the "Garden Island" in the southern group of Cook Islands. The current resident population of Mauke is 290 (plus an extra 4 for the days we were there!).

It's easy to get to Mauke on a 40 minute flight from Rarotonga or a 12 minute hop from the neighbouring island of Mitiaro. Once you're there it's fun to explore and convenient to make your way around the island by motorbike or on the back of a ute.

In this episode we stayed at Ri's Retreat; a cosy family run guesthouse right near the airport.
