Do little things matter? | Nishtha Nishant | TEDxIIMKashipur

We are all humans first. This is something we need to be reminded from time to time, even though we shouldn't. Nishtha Nishant, a scientific researcher, an educator, a counselor, and a human rights activist, talks about how a trans-woman feels loved in this world, despite many people having reservations about the community. She speaks about the varied colors of humanity she has witnessed and how it's the little things that stand out A scientific researcher, an educator and a counselor, Nishtha Nishant is a trans-woman and a human rights activist. She has been an active advocate for spreading scientific awareness and for the rights of the LGBTQI+ community. She is also a fellow for the Queer Youth Leadership Programme and also one of the preview team members for the Kashish Mumbai International Queer Film Festival. Nishtha believes in trans-visibility and has made appearances in live debates across mainstream media channels This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
