सुका जवळा Suka Javla Recipe

Suka Javla (dry prawns sukka) is a spicy, flavorful, and traditional Konkani-style dish made using sun-dried prawns, coconut, and aromatic spices. It’s a quick and tasty seafood recipe packed with coastal flavors. Best enjoyed with rice bhakri, chapati, or simple dal-rice.

Ingredients:

1 cup dry prawns (suka javla)

1 onion, finely chopped

2-3 garlic cloves

2-3 green chilies

½ cup grated coconut (fresh or frozen)

Turmeric powder

Red chili powder

Oil & salt to taste

Coriander leaves for garnish
Method:

1. Clean and dry roast the dry prawns lightly to remove the smell.
2. Sauté garlic, onion, and green chilies in oil.
3. Add turmeric, chili powder, and roasted prawns.
4. Mix in grated coconut and cook till aromatic.
5. Garnish with coriander and serve hot.
