Little Baby Girl Diagnosed With Spina Bifida Bravely Takes Her First Steps, Making Amazing Progress

Meet Ava, a 16 months old miracle. This little girl over here is a champ, a fighter, and mostly a survivor. Ava was diagnosed with Spina bifida before she was born. Spina Bifida is a birth defect when the baby’s spinal cord fails to develop or close properly in the womb. With a lot of pregnancy complications, she had to go under a prenatal surgery to close her spina. That was expected to enhance her mobility chances. After being born prematurely and spending 87 days in the NICU, Ava surprised us all when moved her toes. Ever since, she just kept proving how strong she is, defying every obstacle with strength and courage, changing people’s lives through her inspiring story. Now she’s taking her first steps, making amazing progress and definitely melting our hearts with her charm and cuteness. We couldn’t be more proud.
