FOCUS ON SDG15 - LIFE ON LAND
Synopsis: SDG15 focuses on life on land, that is the promotion of the management of forests and prevent deforestation. Urbanization can have negative effects on nature and environment such as air and water pollution. Students interview experts who started projects to combat these effects and have a positive impact on the environment even in a city like Rome. We will see projects of urban gardening from Zappata Romana and the project of ReTree whose aim is to reforest the city, both projects showing that there are ways to introduce sustainable and environmental practices in the city of Rome.
Created by students in the Spring 2019 Food and Media class. The class is part of the study abroad program: IAGE Illinois in Italy: Rome - Food and Culture.
