Perkins is pleased to present a webcast on "A Parent's Perspective: Helping Your Child with Multiple Disabilities Engage with the World Around Them" with Amber Bobnar. Amber is a parent of a young boy with visual impairment and additional disabilities.
In this webcast, she talks about how important it is to involve children with disabilities in their community and gives advice on how to make this work. Amber is the creator of the WonderBaby.org website which provides a support network and a multitude of resources for parents of children with visual impairment.
The chapters in this webcast are: 1. Introduction, 2. Planning with Professionals, 3. Stretching the Comfort Zone, 4. learning to Make Sense of Sensory Input, 5. Practical Planning, 6. Future Planning.
