Spider Sabich -- 2009 Colorado Snowsports Hall of Fame Tribute Video
Spider first came to Colorado in 1962 to race for Bob Beattie at the University of Colorado. He soon established himself as one of the best American ski racers of his time. He represented the United States at the 1968 Winter Olympics where he finished 5th in the slalom. After four World Cup podium finishes, he moved to the Pro Ski Racing Circuit. He won the 1971 and 1972 World Pro Skiing Championships.
