Despite Metal being a stereotypically hard and abrasive type of music, what I've always enjoyed most about the genre is the sheer amount of moods and emotions you can tap into. The contrast between melodic and brutal, fast and slow, chaotic and serene - what's not to love! In this video I investigate this by playing some of my favorite examples of both EVIL and MELODIC Metal riffs side-by-side so you can really enjoy the contrast 🤘
