21. DEOSAI National Park & SKARDU - Pakistan | Round the World on a Fireblade

Part 21: Deosai National Park & Skardu - Pakistan. Deosai is second highest plateau in the world, with an average elevation of 4,114m als.

As my Fireblade was not fixed yet I ended up hiring another bike, Suzuki GS 150.

Don't let flat looking terrain and us riding in the t-shirts fool you - while it was warm during the day, temperature dropped to below 0 at night!

We often got held up during this ride due to roadworks, especially in the upper part of the loop between Skardu and Gilgit - there were a lot of roadworks where they use blasting techniques. At one point we got held up for 3 or 4 hours and had to ride on this road in the dark to find a place to sleep.
