I think I've just found my new FAVOURITE thing to cast in resin! These 24ct gold playing cards look incredible whatever the project. They have an almost animated look to them when moved against the light, and due to being made of plastic and gold foil they can go straight into the resin without the need for sealing first.

This is a beginner level tutorial using a selection of home-made and off-the-shelf moulds, in which epoxy casting and doming techniques are both demonstrated. Jewellery is an obvious choice to make with these cards, but you can also use them for coasters, paperweights, fridge magnets and more.
