Qila Bagh Sir Historical Heritage Of Kashmir

One of the hidden ancient forts in Azad Kashmir is the historic Bagh Sir Fort, built east of Samahni valley near Bhimbar. There are some historical buildings whose date of construction cannot be definitively told, when and who built them, Qila Bagh Sir is also counted among those whose exact date of construction is not available.

Some believe that this fort was built during the Mughal period, while others say that its construction took place during the Dogra period. The outer walls of the fort appear to be of Mughal architecture, but its interior architecture does not appear to be of the Mughal era, the carvings in the fort reflect the Hindu style of architecture. The carvings on the northern wall of the fort reveal the Hindu architectural style. It is also said that Qila Bagh was built by Sir Ranjit Singh's prime minister, Dhyan Singh.
