In this video, I explain why SIM binding is fundamentally flawed — and how recent developments from Department of Telecommunications, Reserve Bank of India, and WhatsApp validate this view.

Despite regulatory push, SIM binding has not been implemented effectively and the deadline has now been extended to December 31.

At the same time:

WhatsApp is moving toward ID-based systems
RBI has indicated OTP is not sufficient
