THE STARVING ARTIST

Elis is a young struggling artist who has hit a creative wall. His life has become linear and organised, thus can no longer think outside the box and his ability to produce work has suffered because of it. This stems from his failed relationship and the lack of control he feels over his life. He decided to go on a date with a man he knows as ‘Patrick Fisher’. He waits at a street corner for his date to arrive, before attacked by a group of thugs due to his homosexuality. He is left in the street beaten, but we see him use this hate crime, to inspire his body of work when he is back in the studio, ultimately completing the work he started in the beginning of the film.
