Catamaran Sailing In Big Seas off Colombia

The seas off Colombia are among the most dangerous in the world for sailors because of the rough seas and great winds that often move against one another causing huge swells and turbulent conditions. We had to traverse these seas to get to the Panama Canal from the Eastern Caribbean. We sailed far north to approach on the best angle, which made the conditions more favorable, but as you can see, the conditions are still rough!
