It's election time!! Are you having the same problem of wishing to replace your HOA board of directors but you feel powerless? Here's the information on how they can legally serve far longer than the covenant's ruling and what steps you can take to try and replace them. This is the fifth installment to a series of videos about Homeowners' Association and educate future homeowners who are thinking about buying their home in an HOA governed community, condominiums or townhomes to fully understand what they are signing up for when they agree to become members of the HOA. This series is a must watch to learn what you need to know before buying a property and it starts with the definition of HOA, the responsibilities and duties of HOA board of directors and what tell-tale sign you need to be on the look out for to determine if the association in the community is a good fit for you and your family. Most often homeowners are not aware of the basic rules and regulations of owning a property in a subdivision with HOA and by the time they realize how much authority the association has on their property, it is too late because they've completely moved in. In my view, the only reason why HOAs are still legal in our country is because most homeowners don't bother to read the covenant that is enforced in a community. If each and every homeowner reads what is required of them and what a group of untrained people could potentially and legally do to someone's house, I don't believe that any American would approve. So if I can open the eyes of more and more people to understand this mini-government that can terrorize a neighborhood, we can start to ask our lawmen to reform the homeowner's association in our country.
