Funding Clean Water in Cambodia | Mad Monkey Hostel Cambodia

Backpackers know that Mad Monkey Hostels are the best places to stay in Southeast Asia. If you've stayed with us, you probably know our bar well ;) You may be less familiar, though, with our social responsibility work. It's an even bigger part of who we are than our parties, though.

Take our Clean Water Project, for example. Mad Monkey works with the Cambodian Buddhism Association for Vulnerable Children (CBAVC) to fund clean water projects in rural Cambodia.

Clean water is a big deal. Without it, families fall into a cycle of debt trying to pay for medical care. Children are unable to study in school because the family cannot afford to send them. In the worst situations, children die from preventable diseases - and this happens tragically often. One water well can have an incredibly widespread positive impact for a family and a community.

With the help of our generous guests and supporters, Mad Monkey has funded and built 250+ clean water projects which are bringing clean drinking water to 9000+ people that would not have it otherwise.
