Tying the Predator for Panfish & Bass with Skip Morris

PREDATOR, TAN Skip Morris
HOOK: Daiichi 1550 (or Tiemco 900BL) sizes 10 through 4.
THREAD: Tan 3/0 or ( especially for sizes 10 and smaller) 6/0.
TAIL: Eight strands of pearl Krystal Flash. Fine rubber-strand in yellow (or in white, black, or some barred color—whatever pleases your eye). Omit the rubber-strand tails if you prefer not to fuss with them.
DUBBING: Fine pearl Mylar strands (Ice Dub, Arizona Diamond Dub in “Crystal”. . .).
BODY and HEAD: Tan two-millimeter foam sheeting.
EYES: Black pre-made mono barbell eyes.
LEGS: Medium-thick black-barred yellow-rubber-strand. (Alternate colors: yellow, plain or barred tan, white, or cream.)

THREAD: Chartreuse (or light-green or lime) 3/0 or (especially for sizes 10 and smaller) 6/0.
TAIL: Eight strands pearl Krystal Flash. Fine rubber-strand in black (or in yellow, white, black, or some barred color—whatever pleases your eye.) Omit the rubber-strand tails if you prefer not to fuss with them.
DUBBING: Fine chartreuse or light-bright-green fine Mylar (Ice Dub, Arizona Diamond Dub. . .).
BODY and HEAD: Chartreuse (or any green) two-millimeter foam sheeting.
EYES: Black pre-made mono barbell eyes.
LEGS: Medium-diameter barred-black orange rubber-strand. (Alternate colors: orange, plain or barred chartreuse, yellow, tan, or black.)
