George Jones "He Stopped Loving Her Today" LIVE

In my opinion George Jones is simply the finest country singer to ever grace this earth. Here is the Possum singing his number 1 hit which many consider to be the greatest country song ever made "He Stopped Loving Her Today". Written by Bobby Braddock and Curly Putman. The song won George Jones the Grammy Award for Best Male Country Vocal Performance in 1980. The Academy of Country Music awarded the song Single of the Year and Song of the Year in 1980. It also became the Country Music Association's Song of the Year in both 1980 and 1981. The song keeps performing well, as recently as 2009 it was selected for the Library of Congress National Recording Preservation. It has been named the Greatest Country Song of all time on numerous countdowns and recently THIS year in 2013 it was back on the charts and peaked at number 21!!
