Mahabalipuram Rath Temple, historic architecture of india

The Rath Temples of Mahabalipuram, also known as the Pancha Rathas, are a group of five monolithic rock-cut temples from the 7th century. Located in Tamil Nadu, India, they were built during the reign of the Pallava king Narasimhavarman I. Each ratha is carved from a single granite rock and is named after the Pandavas from the Mahabharata, though there is no direct connection. The temples, featuring intricate carvings and unique architectural styles, are an excellent example of early Dravidian temple design and are part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site at Mahabalipuram.
