♥️ Raising Dion is a television show (a superhero show!) that helped me to dwell on the ways in which our society makes raising a Black boy in America uniquely and unfairly difficult. The main character is a single mom. It’s not the absolute best-made show I’ve ever seen, but it’s SO worth watching the whole first season, if only for the heartbreaking scenes that depict the main character realizing that she has to explain racism to her young son, and then going through that process with him. https://www.netflix.com/title/80117803
