▶️ In the early 1800s, Ramdutt Goenka ventured from Rajasthan to Kolkata, establishing a money-lending business and trading with British firms. They became the most influential Marwari family in Calcutta, even before the Birla's.

▶️ Till the early 1900s, the business was expanded to jute and tea. and their fourth generation Sir Badridas Goenka and Sir Hariram Goenka were knighted by the emperor of India for their contributions to the business sector.

▶️ After independence, Keshav Prasad Goenka transformed their business from trading all the way to cable, power, engineering, cables, and carbon black sectors by acquiring the companies related to it.

▶️ Keshav prasad Goenka had 3 sons, RP goenka, JP goenka, and GP goenka. RP Goenka formed the RPG group, which was later split into Harsh Goenka and Sanjiv Goenka separately formed the RPSG group.

▶️ Today the Goenka family owns major companies like CEAT Tires, Saregama Carvaan, Mohun Bagan Athletic Club, Lucknow SuperGiants, and even Too Yumm..!

▶️ They are the owners of India's second-largest manufacturer of electric power transmission towers "KEC International" which also delivers construction projects related to Railways, Civil and urban Infrastructure, Solar, Smart Infrastructure, Oil and gas Pipelines, and Cables.

▶️ Phillips Carbon Black Limited (PCBL) is the largest carbon black manufacturer and exporter in India. And the Goenka family owns it. This carbon black is used for producing tires, printer ink, and even the rubber soles of our shoes.

▶️ Apart from this they also own Evita snacks, Dr Vaidya ayurvedic products, and Spencer's retail chain. And Fortune magazine.

▶️ All of this makes Harsh Goenkas's net worth over ₹24000 crore and Sanjiv Goenkas's net worth over ₹22000 crore!
