1000 Miglia 2021: SF90 Stradale, Bugatti Type 35, Porsche 356, AMG GT R Speedster, Monza SP1, 300 SL

Here's a video about some of the cars that took part in the 2021 1000 Miglia, which was one of the most famous open-road endurance competition held in Italy between 1927 and 1957. Since 1977, the Mille Miglia has been reborn as a regularity race for classic and vintage cars, produced no later than 1957, which had attended (or were registered to) the original race. The route (Brescia–Rome round trip) is similar to that of the original race, maintaining the point of departure/arrival in Viale Venezia in Brescia and it's divided into sections to be covered in a few days.

I generally attend the event from a photographic point of view but for this year I wanted to try to get some videos from a brief downhill road section closed to normal traffic near the village of Salò, on Garda Lake, hoping to capture a little more action and accelerations during the final leg of the 2021 edition.

A part from the almost 400 historic icons, such as tons of Porsche 356s, Mercedes 300 SLs, an Alfa Romeo Sport Spider, a blue Maserati 200 Si, a Jaguar D-Type, various great sounding Ferrari' and pre-war Bugatti' and many many others, the regularity competition is followed by groups of modern supercars which pay tribute to the Italian race. The most famous is for sure the one officially organized by Ferrari, which this year had numerous and well configured 488 Pistas, various 812s, a blue Monza SP1, a dark red Monza SP2, a couple of 599 GTOs, a F12tdf, 360 Challenge Stradale and the new SF90 Stradale and Roma.

Another tribute was the one organized by Mercedes, but in a leaner form than many years ago. You can see the always beautiful SLR Stirling Moss, a SLS AMG Roadster and the new AMG GT R Speedster by Bussnik. The last group of supercars was composed by some rare pieces which were part of the Supercar Owners Circle. You can see a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport, the new AMG GT Black Series, an Aventador SVJ, a rare Aston Martin V8 Volante Zagato and the one-off 1967 Ford Mustang Zagato.
