The Evolution of N scale signalling - testing the Atlas 2236

In my search for a suitable signal control system I set up the Atlas kit 2236 to see how it performs. This is a legacy Atlas signal starter kit from the earlier generation of Atlas signaling products. It uses the older control‑board architecture and supports basic ABS‑style signaling. (Direct documentation for the 2236 kit is limited, but it is part of the pre‑USCB system.)
This is an older version of the modern Atlas offering but with one difference - although it works with DC and DCC it actually includes a DC block detector. It is also daisy-chainable meaning that it can show proper signal aspects relative to where the train is in the adjacent blocks. As i had some of these sitting around in my train room i decided to dust them off.
