The most important thing to do is to get everyone, including yourself out of the vehicle first. Make sure to run at a 45-degree angle to the oncoming train's path, so nobody gets hit by the debris. If you still don't see the train, contact the railway company and let them know there is a vehicle on the tracks. Most railways post their emergency numbers at crossings, either behind the crossbuck or on the signal house. If you can’t find the emergency number, call 911.
