Bad Drivers of the Bay Area: Extreme Tailgater

I was originally planning to include this in my next compilation, but decided instead to give this guy his own video all to himself.

This Subaru driver was exhibiting incredibly dangerous behavior and was just plain being an asshole to every driver he came across. He would get within a few feet at most of every car he ended up behind and would then constantly change lanes in a futile attempt to get where he was going faster. I say futile because...he kept ending up behind me while I was maintaining a steady speed. He annoyed me when he made an unnecessarily close lane change behind me just to a few seconds later end up well behind me, and was seemingly annoying other drivers when he would ride far too closely.

But he really sealed his fate of being featured on this channel when...well, you'll know it when you see it. The only time anyone has ever been that close to my rear bumper, they ended up on the side of the freeway with me, a CHP officer and the wrong end of an insurance claim. I thought for sure he was going to make contact at some point. Unreal. He then proceeded to try to block me from getting out of his way, which was mind-boggling...and then made a series of lane changes that would be off the charts of Bad Drivers Caught on Dashcam's Douche-o-Meter. Had I thought it would do any good I'd have called into CHP and report him, but past experience has taught me otherwise. I just hope that when his antics finally do catch up to him that he doesn't harm an innocent driver in the process. We can only hope he's one of us forced to stay home and isn't out on the roads.

The thing that stuck out to me was how calm and stone faced this guy was the entire time. I'll admit it: I flipped him off when he passed me at 2:45 and I didn't get so much as a glance out of his peripheral vision. Weird. What also gets me is that you can see a FasTrak transponder in his window, meaning he can electronically pay the toll for that far-left Express Lane. The toll at that time was a whopping $2.75. If he were really in that big of a hurry...why not take the Express and avoid the hassle of Fast and the Furious-ing through traffic and getting nowhere while pissing people off? The world may never know...
