S. Korea sees record-high FX transactions in Q1 on robust securities investment: BOK

South Korea's foreign exchange transactions in the first quarter this year reached a record-high, led by robust investment in the securities market.
Data by the Bank of Korea on Friday show that the daily average came to 69-point-4 billion U.S. dollars from January to March.
That's a rise of almost 10-percent compared to the previous quarter, and the highest on record.
The bank says investments from home to overseas securities markets and foreign investment to the local security market, both rose compared to the fourth quarter of last year.
