Appendix is thought to be a vestigial organ in our body as scientists have not been able to find out its conclusive role.
This is also called vermiform appendix as it looks like a worm.
Whenever there is inflammation of appendix it will cause pain in abdomen,nause ,vomiting and fever.
CBC test ,ultrasound examination and if needed then CT scan abdomen is needed to diagnose it apart from history and physical examination.
If diagnosed properly then patient undergoes surgical removal of appendix.
