Well, it's been about a year since I've uploaded a beat making video. Thank you all for the mass amounts of love (including the Youtube recommended algorithm) on my lofi beat making video.

In this video, I make a classic 90s hip hop beat using my "new" MPC 2000xl with Ableton. I'm still learning a lot about this machine, but having a ton of fun with it.

Also, I recorded directly into Ableton via my interface from the MPC because I don't have 8 outs, and it's much easier for me to manipulate the sounds / sequence the beat / add compression etc. I still get that unique MPC sound from the drums and pitching down the sample straight from the machine, with the added versatility of Ableton.

Hahah.. the old heads probably are shaking their heads right now.
