We Met Rise Against!!! ~ O2 Apollo Manchester [5th Nov 2011]

After a gig at the O2 Apollo in Manchester, a handful of us waited by the tour bus for about an hour in the hope of maybe getting some autographs or pictures from this amazing band. As it turned out, we got a whole lot more.

I am probably one of the biggest Rise Against fans you'd ever meet. Their music is literally everything to me and it's been a huge part of my life for so long. I've liked them from a relatively early age, so this was actually only the second time I've seen them live. The first time was at a festival so obviously I never got this kind of opportunity before.

This whole experience meant too much to me to be able to properly express in words. All I can really say is that watching this whole thing back never failed to bring a tear to my eye. They say you should never meet your idols, but in this case that is SO not true.
They are genuinely some of the nicest, most genuine people you could ever meet. I only hope more people are as lucky as I was that night.
