Laura Branigan - [cc] Performing on New York City, goal of the AIDS Ride (1995)

On Sunday, September 17, 1995 singer Laura Branigan participated at the closing ceremony of the solidarity event: Boston-New York AIDS Ride presented by Tanqueray. A huge crowd of cyclists participated in the marathon from Boston to New York City to raise awareness about AIDS and money for its research. Laura welcomed them with a concert at the finish line. I found a short video of the Associated Press archives, where we can listen a little of "Forever Young" and enjoy seeing to Laura giving a sincere message about that disease:
"I think that there's a misconception about AIDS - that it only strikes gay people - and it strikes everybody, at any time and it can happen to anybody and anyone in their family."
