3D Typography Guide – ILLUSTRATOR TUTORIAL

Learn a really neat 3D text effect with todays Adobe Illustrator tutorial. We are going to go through the process of how to make the 3D text effect, and I will show you some handy tips along the way that will really benefit you and your design workflow for this type of design.

Many videos out there might show you how to make the 3D text effect as seen in the tutorial, but very few if any will show you what you need to do so that the design is customisable as the very end. The thing is with this text effect the final design is not a vector shape, and so we need to do a few things in Illustrator to ensure that we do end up with an editable 3D vector design.

I also share some tips on creating interesting typography with the use of contrast and hierarchy for the 3D design, and also go into discussions about how to get some really neat colour choices for your designs.
