We get lots of questions about how to encourage snakes to move into your yard. And while relocating adult snakes doesn't work, providing habitat does, as long as neighbor snakes have a safe way to get into your yard. We've been sprinkling our yard with cover (tin, plywood, truck bed liners) that snakes, lizards, and their prey can use for shelter since we moved here in 2017. This large male Gophersnake recently spent a week under a couple pieces of tin.
