Since first being produced by German confectioner Haribo in the 1920s, gummy bears have been a favorite sweet treat enjoyed by kids and grown-ups alike. The bears' cute appearance, practical size and delicious taste soon resulted in the famous candy gaining worldwide appeal. Yet you can do so much more with gummy bears than simply eating them straight from the packet. Here are 6 wonderfully creative tricks that every Haribo fan needs to know...

1. Gummy Bear Jewelry

You'll Need:

- warm water
- soap
- silicon
- gummy bears
- resin
- curing agent
- acrylic paint
- pipette
- item of jewelry (ring, necklace, bracelet)

Here's How:

1.1 Add some warm water and a drop of dish soap to a bowl. Next, inject some silicon into the water, take it back out and roll it into a ball using your hands. Press a gummy bear into the ball of silicon, let it harden, and then remove the bear.

1.2 Pour some resin into a small ramekin. Add some curing agent and acrylic paint to it (in whichever color you want the gummy bear to be). Stir everything with a wooden pick.

1.3 Collect the mixture in a pipette and inject it into the silicon gummy bear mold. Leave it to dry. Once hardened, you can use the gummy bear as a piece of jewelry. Let your creativity run wild — we've used it as a ring and a pedant for a necklace in the video.

2. Gummy Bear Slime

You'll Need:

- gummy bears
- powdered sugar
- corn starch

Here's How:

Heat up a few gummy bears in the microwave for about 1 minute. Mix powdered sugar with corn starch and spread the mixture on a flat surface. Add the melted gummy bear mixture to the powder and knead everything together with both hands. This should create a malleable consistency. The gummy bear slime is a great addition to kids' birthday parties.

3. Gummy Bear Cookies

You'll Need:

For The Cookie Dough:

- 8 oz flour
- 2 oz sugar
- 1 egg
- 4 oz cold butter
- 1 pinch salt

You'll Also Need:

- large and small cookie cutters
- gummy bears

Here's How:

Prepare the cookie dough. After keeping it in the fridge for at least half an hour, you can then roll it out. Now create shapes of your choice using the large cookie cutter. It is important that the cookies are big enough to have their centers removed in the same shape — that's where the smaller cookie cutter comes in. Bake the cookies at 375°F for 5 minutes and then place a few gummy bears in the center. Next, bake the cookies for a further 2 minutes so that the gummy bears melt into the center.

4. Gummy Bear Jello Cake

You'll Need:

- Non-carbonated lemon-lime soft drink
- gelatin
- skewer

Here's How:

First, prepare the gelatin by stirring it in cold water. Next, pour 4 cups of non-carbonated soft drink into a bowl and add the gelatin. After refrigerating the bowl for 10 minutes, use a skewer to insert gummy bears into the mixture. Keep the bowl refrigerated overnight. The following day, remove the jello cake from the bowl and it's ready to serve.

5. Chocolate Gummy Bears

You'll Need:

- gummy bears
- melted chocolate
- toothpicks

Here's How:

Spike gummy bears onto toothpicks and dip them in melted chocolate. Once dry, you can remove the bears from the toothpicks and keep them in a baggie... or eat them straightaway!

6. Gummy Bear Ice Cubes

You'll Need:

- ice cube tray
- gummy bears
- lemon-lime soft drink

Here's How:

Place a gummy bear into each mold on an ice cube tray and pour soft drink on top of them. Freeze the tray. Now you have the perfect addition to pep up a glass of water.
