GUS G Interview

Συναντήσαμε τον Gus G στα Zero Gravity Studios μια μέρα πριν το πρώτο από τρία live επί ελληνικού εδάφους στο Crow Club με τον Dennis Ward (πρώην Pink Cream 69, Unisonic, Magnum) και τον Jo Nunez (Firewind). Μπαίνοντας στο στούντιο ακούσαμε την τριάδα να παίζει Ozzy, οπότε πήραμε μια γεύση για το τι θα ακολουθούσε την επομένη. Μετά την πρόβα καθήσαμε και μιλήσαμε με τον Gus για πολλά και διάφορα ενδιαφέροντα: την εμπειρία στο συγκρότημα του Madman, τους κιθαρίστες-ήρωές του, την προσγειωμένη συμπεριφορά του, ενώ στο τέλος -η συνήθεια που έγινε λατρεία- του δώσαμε πέντε άλμπουμ για να μας τα σχολιάσει. Εκεί ο Gus πετάει τρομερά σχόλια, γελάει, αναπολεί καταστάσεις και περιστατικά, ενώ δίνει πληροφορίες για τα άλμπουμ που βγάζει από το… καπέλο του Σάκη Νίκα που πρώτη φορά βγαίνουν στη δημοσιότητα. Ευχαριστούμε τον Ηλία Αραβίδη και τα Zero Gravity Studios
We met with Gus G at Zero Gravity Studios in Athens one day before the first of three shows at the Crow Club with Dennis Ward (ex-Pink Cream 69, Unisonic, Magnum) and Jo Nunez (Firewind). Entering the studios we could hear the three of them jamming on Ozzy tunes giving us a hint of what we were going to witness the following night. After they finished rehearsing we sat down and talked with Gus about lots of interesting stuff: his experience playing in Ozzy’s band, his guitar heroes, his down to earth attitude while as a finale we asked him to comment on five albums we randomly picked (this is going to be a trend, no doubt about that!). His comments are awesome, as he is laughing and reminiscing fan facts about each album, while it’s certain that you will hear some of this stuff for the first time ever. Enjoy!
